Weldon's launch matching gift campaign to transform medical education, empower future physicians

• In an effort to offset rising student loan debt, Bill and Barbara Weldon, both members of the Class of 1971, have launched a $5 million matching gift campaign. Their transformative gift is offered as a 1:1 match to encourage other donors to give, and by doing so, the campaign will raise $10 million in support of medical student scholarships. This groundbreaking campaign will enable future doctors to study at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac.

One Million Reasons Scholarship Campaign

• In November 2023, coinciding with the ten-year anniversary of the Medical School's naming, Netter launched its One Million Reasons Scholarship Campaign. This campaign has already raised more than one million dollars in support of scholarships for future compassionate and humanistic physicians by supporting students with financial need.
• When you support this campaign, you are contributing to the need for more talented physicians in the field and providing more scholarships, given the rising cost of education nationwide.
