The Whole Lawyer

• The Law School's mission is to educate the whole lawyer to serve the whole client.
• The 'whole lawyer' is a well-rounded legal professional who combines legal skills, professional competencies, and strong character traits.

Bar pass and licensure

• It can cost a graduate up to $20,000 to study for and complete the bar exam. Gifts to the School of Law Academic Excellence Fund help alleviate this financial burden.
• Generous Board of Trustees member Rick Silver has gifted two cycles of bar preparation courses at no cost to students. However, more funding is needed to maintain and expand these offerings.

Wellness

• The School of Law aims to upgrade the North Haven campus fitness center to promote overall wellness and prioritize mental health among students.
• Your gift can help integrate healthy habits into the curriculum, including wellness-focused coursework.

Experiential Education: The School of Law strives to deliver a legal education that balances practical skills with intellectual development.

• Your gift to the School of Law Academic Excellence Fund supports a balanced legal education that combines rigorous academics with professional extracurriculars, producing high-quality lawyers, lawmakers, and leaders.
• Our clinics, externships, and experiential education are integral parts of this long-time approach, offering a variety of opportunities for engaged learning. Our Low-Income Tax Clinic, for example, is celebrating its thirty-fifth year of providing no-cost legal services to low-income clients with tax disputes.
