The School of Education is creating the educators and administrators of tomorrow! Known regionally for producing high-quality candidates, your gift to the School of Education Academic Excellence Fund goes to work immediately to support students in many ways:

Scholarships and financial aid

• When students are going through the process of student teaching to complete their degree, they are unable to supplement their income through secondary employment. The reality is that the financial pressure contributes to Education students needing to drop out to work, which interrupts their ability to complete the requirements they need to graduate.
  • Your gift to the School of Education's Academic Excellence Fund goes toward scholarships and financial aid so that students facing financial hardships no longer have to choose between their studies, student teaching, and earning an income while they fulfill all their requirements. You have the power to keep some of the best and brightest future teachers in the workforce on the path to graduation.

External grant and funding opportunities

• Your support doesn't happen in a bubble! Other people take notice, including agencies with the power to grant the School of Education grants and additional funding to address real-time problems, like the national teacher shortage.
• In March 2025, the School of Education was awarded $127,500 from ARPA Education Workforce Development to address the teacher shortage. This funding supports an innovative apprenticeship program designed to combat the state's ongoing teacher shortage by placing Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) students into classrooms for a full academic year. These MAT students will receive stipends through this grant.
  • Your gift to the School of Education is a loud show of support that demonstrates to external agencies that SoE and Quinnipiac are worth investing their funding and time in!
