About

“Men’s Cross Country has improved immensely over my past four years at Quinnipiac. We have gotten a new coaching staff and a brand-new weight room that help us get stronger and faster. Head Coach Scrivines and Assistant Coach James help their runners out in a way that not many coaches do which is make individual plans with them to get them stronger at the areas they show some weakness. Not only did the coaching staff improve, but the weight room improved enormously. They also provide recovery fuel to make sure that after a good day in the weight room every athlete is able to properly fuel to enhance recovery. Thank you for your continued support!”

Supporting Quinnipiac Men’s Cross Country in the Bobcat Challenge is a meaningful way to contribute to the team’s growth and success. Here are some compelling reasons to get behind the Bobcats:

  1. Resilience and Determination: The Quinnipiac Men’s Cross Country team has faced significant challenges, including periods without a coach and rebuilding efforts. Despite these hurdles, the team has shown incredible resilience and determination to improve and compete.
  2. Developing Future Leaders: The team is not just about running; it’s about building character and leadership. Athletes like Ohm Patel, Keegan Metcalfe and Andrew Woodbine have set excellent examples for their teammates, both on and off the track. Supporting the team helps nurture these qualities in all its members.
  3. Promising Talent: With new talent joining the team, such as standout first-year Alex Saldana, the future looks bright. These young athletes bring fresh energy and potential, promising exciting performances in upcoming seasons.
  4. Community and School Spirit: Supporting the team fosters a sense of community and school pride. It brings together students, alumni, and fans, creating a supportive and vibrant atmosphere that benefits everyone involved.
  5. Direct Impact: Every contribution directly supports the team’s needs, from training resources to travel expenses for competitions. Your support ensures that the athletes have the necessary tools to succeed and represent Quinnipiac with pride.

Student-Athletes! Make sure you read this before making your gift.

We are asking first-years, sophomores, juniors, and seniors to make their class gift toward their team to support the Quinnipiac student-athlete experience. Your gift is a powerful vote of confidence in the direction Quinnipiac is headed and inspires a culture of philanthropy that begins right here on campus and continues post-graduation, inspiring Bobcats that come after you to continue paying it forward.

First-years, sophomores, and juniors make a gift of $10.00 to be considered a member of Student Philanthropy Council and will receive a special gift that can be used at invitation-only events throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.

Seniors (this includes graduate, law, and doctoral students too!) make a gift of $20.25 to be considered a member of Student Philanthropy Council and will receive a special gift that can be used at invitation-only events throughout the 2024-2025 academic year. Seniors will also receive a green and white philanthropy cord to wear at their commencement ceremonies.

P.S. Class of 2028! Starting with you, if you give all four years consecutively during your time at Quinnipiac, you will be the first class eligible for a Student Philanthropy Council pin to be worn at your commencement ceremonies.

If you have any questions about making a gift, please contact Director of Annual Giving, Nicole Caputo, at nicole.caputo@quinnipiac.edu.
